Susan Kay Anderson's Story
After teachin Latin, English, psychology, gifted and talented for 16 years and being school district media specialist for another 16 years, as well as teaching at ISU and Ivy Tech,I began another teaching career in Winter Haven, Florida, this time Latin again. I have several master's and specializations. I have loved my teaching career, worked with amazing people, and had amazing experiences, including taking students on overseas trips since '74, and being a Fulbrighter in Canada. I also was the rep to Athens for an international Fulbright convention. I have traveled extensively on my own and with my famly, and have been lucky enough to have family in England, Ireland, and France, where we were able to visit without the tourist stigma, but rather th family and district's welcome. ologist for the British Trust at "Bedlam", then went to Boston/ Harvard. She will be in the clinical psych doctoral program at ISU next fall. My daughter Jessie is happily living in Orlando, fostering a business and working at the airport after a psych b.a. degree and massage therapy specialization. My husband Mike works for the state of Indiana as an employment advisor, and was to have retired to Fl, but is still needed at his post, so I will think again about whether to continue my FL career next year, and weigh options. It is fun, but I only projected being a scout for about a year!
Besides traveling, I have a great interest in cat rescue since the loss of my library therapy cat Libby, and find that it is much easier to find a needy cat than find a home, so sometimes it is like Sue and Mike's Home for Wayward Cats at our houses both in Indiana and florida.
